JonWard.IO LLC d/b/a JonWard Studios (“JonWard Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates jonwardstudios.io.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you visit the website, how we use it, when it is disclosed, and the choices available to you.
This policy applies to the JonWard Studios website and email inquiries initiated through it. Any privacy notice provided with a JonWard Studios app governs that app.

A. Website delivery and security information
When your browser connects to the website, Cloudflare processes technical information used to deliver and protect the site. This information can include:
- IP address;
- requested page or file;
- date and time of the request;
- browser, operating system, and device information;
- referring website;
- network and routing information;
- request status and performance information; and
- security signals used to identify malicious or automated traffic.
This information comes from your browser, device, and network connection.
B. Website analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and performance. The reports available to us can include:
- page views and visits;
- pages viewed;
- referral sources;
- country;
- device type;
- browser and operating system; and
- page-load and Core Web Vitals measurements.
Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting to identify or follow individual visitors. It also excludes URL query strings from analytics logs.
C. Information you send by email
The website provides links that open your email application. The website has no contact form.
If you email us, we receive the information you include. This can include:
- your name and email address;
- company and job information;
- project or product information;
- the contents of your message;
- attachments; and
- later correspondence about the inquiry.
Sending an inquiry is voluntary. We need a working return email address and enough information about the request to provide a meaningful reply.
Please keep patient data, protected health information, passwords, financial account information, and other sensitive personal information out of email messages.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
- delivering and maintaining the website;
- protecting the website and identifying misuse or security threats;
- measuring aggregate traffic and website performance;
- replying to inquiries;
- evaluating potential projects;
- preparing proposals, agreements, and requested materials;

We use no website information for targeted advertising. We perform no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free and uses no browser storage to measure website use.
Cloudflare security cookies
Cloudflare can place strictly necessary cookies when a security feature needs to verify traffic or record completion of a security challenge. Depending on the security feature involved, these can include:
cf_clearance: records that a visitor completed a Cloudflare security challenge and allows access for the configured challenge period.__cf_bm: helps Cloudflare identify and manage automated traffic when Bot Management or Bot Fight Mode is active. Cloudflare states that this cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
These cookies protect the website and are not used by JonWard Studios for advertising.
The website currently uses no advertising, targeting, or social-media tracking cookies. Its current analytics and security configuration operates without an optional-cookie consent banner.

7. When information is disclosed
We disclose information only as described below.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate the website and manage business communications:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, security, traffic routing, and website analytics.
- Email and business-service providers: receipt, storage, and management of email and business records.
These providers process information for the services they provide to us and under their applicable terms and privacy commitments.
Professional advisers
Information can be disclosed to lawyers, accountants, insurers, auditors, or other professional advisers when their work requires it.
Legal requirements and protection of rights
Information can be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request. It can also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect the website, enforce an agreement, or establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
Business transactions
Information can be disclosed as part of a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar business transaction. Appropriate confidentiality measures will apply during any review of the information.
8. Sale, advertising, and cross-context sharing
JonWard Studios does not sell personal information.
JonWard Studios does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not use personal information for targeted advertising.
9. International processing
JonWard Studios is based in the United States. Cloudflare and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism for personal information sent across national borders, the service provider's applicable contractual and legal safeguards govern that transfer.

10. Retention
We retain information according to its purpose:
- Website delivery and security information: retained according to Cloudflare's service settings and policies.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: Cloudflare states that unsampled beacon data is retained for seven days and later reduced to aggregate data for longer-term reporting.
- Email inquiries: retained for as long as needed to respond, evaluate potential work, and maintain an appropriate record of the communication.
- Client and business records: retained for the business relationship and any additional period required for tax, accounting, contractual, insurance, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
Information is deleted or anonymized when its applicable retention need ends.
11. Information security
The website uses HTTPS, Cloudflare security services, and security-related response settings. Access to business communications and records is limited to people and providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.
Email is appropriate for ordinary business communication. Sensitive personal information and regulated health information should be exchanged only through a separately agreed method suited to that information.
12. Your privacy rights
Rights vary by location and the law that applies. They can include:
- access to personal information;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of information;
- a copy of information in a portable format;
- restriction of or objection to processing;
- withdrawal of consent for future processing;
- an appeal of a privacy-request decision where applicable; and
- a complaint to a privacy or data-protection authority.
To make a request, email jon@jonward.io and state the request clearly. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and protect the information involved. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law permits. We may request proof of the agent's authority and verification of the person concerned.
13. Additional notice for California residents
During the preceding 12 months, the website and related email communications may have involved the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: IP address, name, email address, and online identifiers.
- Internet or electronic network activity: pages requested, browser and device information, referral source, and interaction or performance data.
- Professional or employment information: company, role, or professional information included in an inquiry.
- Commercial information: information about a requested or potential project.
- Correspondence: message contents and attachments sent to us.
The sources, purposes, and recipients of these categories are described in Sections 3, 4, and 7.
JonWard Studios has not sold these categories of personal information or shared them for cross-context behavioral advertising during the preceding 12 months.
California residents can submit an applicable access, correction, deletion, or other privacy request using the contact information in Section 12. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right granted by applicable law.
14. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
The website applies the same privacy-preserving analytics and advertising settings to all visitors. Its current practices include no sale of personal information, cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising.
15. Children's privacy
The website is intended for business and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information can email jon@jonward.io to request its deletion.
16. Other websites
The website links to other websites, including JonWard.io. The privacy practices of the destination website apply when you follow an external link.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, our practices, service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of the policy will show the latest revision.
Material changes will be presented in a manner appropriate to the change.
